We're a plucky collective of select creators and curators producing a living, participatory exhibition. If you’ve seen Portlandia’s “Put a Bird on It” skit, this will sound familiar.
The PUT A BROOCH ON IT project is part Instagram diary, part performance art, and part jewelry exhibition, inviting jewelry lovers everywhere to shift their perspective and give something familiar a new life.
The brooch is the only adornment with a mind of its own. Unlike necklaces, earrings, and rings, it is migratory and can travel to whatever needs doing up.
Brooches push the limitations of jewelry where jewelry isn’t expected. We’re recruiting jewelry lovers, lovers of the absurd, and the absurd-curious to join the fun and find those places.
We may select your images to highlight!
So remember, brooches are adornments without limits. Refresh your perspective, and give something familiar a new life.
